“Judy Klipin is hands-down, one of the most gifted coaches I've ever trained. She's world-class smart, funny, sensitive, determined, and intuitive. I'd recommend Judy to anyone who's feeling stuck, weary, confused, discouraged, uncertain, in need of support--basically, I'd recommend her to any carbon-based life form that breathes oxygen and would like to have a wonderful life. If you manage to make it onto her client list, count yourself lucky. It'll be one of the best decisions you ever made.”

My Story
People are my passion - I have always been interested in people and what motivates them. I have a strong intuition and ability to ‘feel’ undercurrents and non-verbal cues. I am what Judith Orloff terms, “An Intuitive Empath” – which allows me to be empathic and understanding of what people around me are experiencing.
When I left school I wanted to help young people decide what they should do with their lives, leading to my studying to become a High School Guidance teacher. Along the way, however, I was offered the opportunity to be a part of transforming South Africa, and worked for 12 years running training and development programmes with and for the South African Police Service
From 1995 to 2003, I was both a lecturer and the Programme Manager of the Policing Programme at the Graduate School of Public and Development Management, Wits University. Thereafter I consulted on my own for a few years, working on a wide variety of projects such as conducting strategic planning for organisations; researching, designing and delivering training programmes; undertaking evaluations of courses and projects; and developing policies in the criminal justice sector in South Africa and the Region.
Then, in 2001, I happened upon a book called Finding Your Own North Star by Martha Beck.
That book changed my life.
It reminded me of my dream of helping people to make good choices for their life. I decided that I wanted to study with Martha and learn how to do what she described in the book. But the timing wasn’t right. I was busy and I loved my work with the Police. Also, in retrospect, I was not ready to embark on such a massive journey at that point.
But I kept thinking about it and promising myself that one day...
At the beginning of 2007 I suffered from severe burn-out and secondary trauma as a result of eating, sleeping and living in the crime and crime prevention sector.
That day had arrived.
I took a personal sabbatical and decided to go to America and study with Martha Beck to become a Life Coach. I completed my training in early 2007 and have been practising as a Martha Beck Life Coach ever since. I am the Martha Beck Master Life Coach in South Africa and I run Martha’s South African programmes and conduct Life Coach Training programmes [hyperlink to Martha Beck Life Coach Training page], corporate workshops and public lectures with and for her, in addition to my own coaching with individuals, groups and teams.
By being who I am, I can empower others to give themselves permission to make new changes in their lives.
