"It's Never Too Late" - "Design Your Life - Differently"Minimize

APRIL 2009

Welcome to April!  I have been thinking a lot about the concepts of freedom and choice lately, what with deciding who to vote for in the elections, and planning how to spend my Freedom Day later this month.  How do these important rights relate to our individual rights?

Even though it sometimes doesn’t feel like it (like when your boss asks you to work late or when your mother- in- law invites herself to stay for the holidays), as humans living in a democracy, we enjoy the benefits of free will and the right to choose how we live our lives.   Sometimes it is hard to remember this though.  When we are so busy that we feel rushed off our feet, so stressed that we can’t remember what we like about our lives, or so fearful about money, safety, and the future that we can’t be in the present, we tend to forget that we can actually choose to do things differently.

While we may not be able to choose every aspect of our lives, we can certainly choose how we respond to and are in our lives.  This requires an awareness of our thoughts, feelings and attitudes.   As you know, I am all about giving yourself permission – and freedom -  to make new choices, and one of the best ways of doing this is to examine the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that keep us stuck in lives that aren’t optimal for us, and freeing ourselves from them.    With this in mind, I have been very busy developing new products and programmes to help my clients make informed choices about how they want to be in the world.

Coaching is mainly concerned with the present and the future, but our pasts have played a big role in shaping the unconscious limiting beliefs that we all have so many of, and that restrict our ability to reach our full potential and enjoy being present in the present.     One of the most liberating things you can do for yourself is to identify and name some of the key limiting beliefs that are holding you back, spoiling your ability to make new choices, and to get rid of them - and in the process, set yourself free.

I am really excited about the new coaching products I will be offering from the beginning of May in addition to my on-going individual life coaching sessions.   May will see the launch of a new “Design Your Life – Differently”  - one day workshop with horses, and 5-week tele-and e-courses for “Adult Children”.   Take a look and let me know if you are interested in finding out any more about, or signing up for, any of them.

Here’s to a month of celebrating freedom and making new choices!

Best wishes and love to you,

Judy
